Bryony
Kia Ora, I’m Bryony. I have lived in Wānaka for 17 years and share my life here with my two wonderful daughters. As a student counsellor, I am passionate about a person-centered approach, creating a safe and supportive space where people feel truly heard. I believe in empowering individuals to embrace change, foster growth, and create new chapters in their lives. With a deep commitment to compassion and understanding, I aim to help others build resilience, heal, and navigate their journey in a way that feels right for them.

JESS
Kia Ora! My name is Jess and I am the owner and founder of FeelSeitig. Together with my therapy dog Odinn I am excited to bring a dynamic mix of present-moment and client-centered therapy approaches to the region. While my primary training is in body-based psychotherapies, I am striving to offer an integrative approach based on the individual needs and desires of each client.
I enjoy working with clients across the whole wellbeing spectrum, with the most common presentations being anxiety, depression, PTSD/C-PTSD, neurodivergency and psychosomatic presentations. I also have put a significant amount of time into studying dissociation and mental health challenges due to hormonal imbalances (PMS, menopause), with neuroscience providing the scientific foundation to all my work. My sessions tend to be collaborative, integrative, and non-directive, aiming to create a space in which experiences of any kind can be explored within the therapeutic alliance.
Ó∂inn
Ó∂inn is our therapy dog, a standard wirehair dachshund, who assists Jess in her sessions. He was born on 20/03/2023 in Christchurch and has been calling Queenstown his home since mid-May 2023. He is a small to medium size dog weighting about 10kg with a coarse coat that sheds minimally.
Ó∂inn is a playful pup that loves to give kisses (meaning: he is a big licker! No toes or ankles are safe). He enjoys pets and belly rubs and may also bring one of his toys as an offer for play. As part of the Animal Assisted Psychotherapy framework, Ó∂inn is allowed to choose his interactions with the clients, so he may join you on the couch or take a nap close or away from you. Deciding on boundaries that feel good to the client and Ó∂inn is always part of the therapy process when you are working with Jess.
While Ó∂inn generally will be in the room when you are booking with Jess, there is no requirement to engage in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy. There will also be days when he is taking a well deserved break and will not be present. Arrangements can be made for Ó∂inn to be in a crate or not in the room, so please do not hesitate to notify us if you have any concerns or fears around having a dog present, or have allergies.
Ó∂inn is not available in Bryony's sessions but may be in the facility.
